Scott Allen is a United States Air Force veteran, a former Government contractor, and former Orvis Fishing Manager. He has had the opportunity to fish all around the world, wherever work took him. Allen has spent the greater part of the last two decades fishing the local waterways of Virginia and Maryland, as well as hosting fishing trips to West Virginia, Tennessee, Montana, and Belize. Instruction has always been a common thread throughout his career. He is a Fly Fishers International Certified Casting
Instructor and is passionate about providing high-quality casting instruction to novices and enthusiasts alike. Allen provides casting instruction at Allen Fly Casting and at the Orvis Chesapeake Bay Fly Fishing School. He is the Treasurer and Casting Director for Fly Fishers International Chesapeake Council, the Secretary for the Virginia Council Trout Unlimited and the Vice President for the Northern Virginia Chapter Trout Unlimited.
