For nearly a decade Conservation Police Officer Bonnie Braziel has worked for the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources to enforce the state’s hunting, fishing, and boating laws and to help solve criminal investigations with her K9 partner Grace. Braziel has a degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies and a minor in Business from Virginia Wesleyan College.

Officer Braziel will speak to attendees of the 2026 Beyond the Cast Women’s Fly Fishing Symposium on how to interact safely with wildlife. Braziel is a passionate hunter and angler; she and her dog Grace serve in the Hampton Roads Area of Southeast Virginia.
